Sharia and Shindler's List

Last night as I was watching Shindler’s List, it occurred to me how similar the doctrines are between Nazi’s and hard line Islamists. Both despise Jews. Both want to eradicate them off the face of the Earth. Both look at not just Jews, but all non-Muslims, particularly those not of Arabic descent, as vermin.

I want to believe that moderate Muslims, those with a more spiritual belief system that have taken the time to study the original Islamic texts, do not want to infiltrate and eventually dominate the entire globe. However, it would seem that they are sadly in the minority and the global Islamic community does not share their moderate position. This, I am sure, will inflame many of you and probably I’ll be the subject of much hate mail. After having debated many Muslims on facebook that I do not personally know, spoken to many that I do, and, further, having done much research, I am more and more convinced that the anti West version of Islam that abounds now, is, indeed, out to conquer the world.

Sharia Law, that most vile religious tenet, is used every day to subjugate, imprison, kill, mutilate and otherwise terrorize Muslims and non-Muslims living within the borders of an Islamic state. We have all seen the videos, heard the horror stories, seen the photos and I, for one, am diametrically opposed to it being implemented in any form anywhere, but particularly should there an attempt to do so within the United States Of America.

France, the Nederland’s and the United Kingdom are having major problems where certain radical Imams are calling for Sharia and indeed, their governments seem to be giving in to this demand, in some aspect. I was shocked to see Muslims take over a Parisian street to pray. I have read about groups of Muslim youth attacking Jews, Christians and Gays in Amsterdam, Birmingham, London, cities in Germany, Sweden and several other parts of Europe. To what extent this is actually happening, I do not statistically know and therein lays the problem.

Islamaphobia, disgustingly, is now on the rise. Daily, Muslims are subjected to hate mail, threats, violence, discrimination and racial profiling and are becoming not just the most hated race on the planet, but the most feared. One cannot judge an entire people, an entire religious ideology by the actions of the violent minority. Nevertheless, fear is a powerful motivator and as we all know, the fuel of stupidity.

9/11, 7/7, Christmas Bomber, Shoe Bomber, Lockerbie, etc., etc., will forever be etched into the global zeitgeist. We also have to remember that hundreds of thousands of Muslims have been, and, continue to be slaughtered in religious based, sectarian violence. The Foreign Policy of not just the United States, but also many other nations and yes, some of whom are Islamic, makes them all complicit in the blood for oil for weapons, war, that continues to rage across the world. Additionally and, perhaps most importantly, the invasion was to establish a strategic military foothold in the Middle East.

I had hoped that cooler heads would prevail in the White House and for a while, it really did seem as if that was the case. President Obama inherited one of the most horrendous fiscal debacles in the history of the world. Sadly, the American People, for the most part, do not understand that one cannot change the effects of years of robbing the till overnight. Now, as of this writing, the Republican’s have taken back the House; the Death Of The American Dream being the number one issue on America’s mind.

This leads me to the Afghanistan War and the continuing spread of Al Qaeda, militant Islam in Europe, the UK and the US. Iran, with its insane leaders, will continue to thumb its nose at the West and I fear that dialogue or sanctions are a complete waste of time. However, to attack Iran is to declare a religious War on the world, for the repercussion would be open jihad of an unprecedented level. If the political trend continues and the Republican’s win in 2012, I worry about the effect it will have on the global strategic situation and the ripple effect on Muslims that want nothing more than to live in peace.
